Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aura AI mobile application and related services ("Aura", the "Service"). By creating an account or using Aura, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Aura. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.
2. What Aura is (and isn't)
Aura provides AI-generated feedback on photos you submit, AI-roleplay voice practice conversations, lessons, and related self-improvement tools.
- AI output is not professional advice. Scores, feedback, and suggestions are generated by AI models for entertainment and self-improvement purposes. They are subjective, may be inaccurate, and are not medical, psychological, dermatological, fitness, or professional advice of any kind. Consult a qualified professional for health-related decisions.
- AI characters are not real people. Practice-conversation personas are fictional AI agents.
- Results vary. We make no guarantee about outcomes from using the app.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to it secure. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account; deletion is immediate and irreversible. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the photos, recordings, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service — for example, sending a photo to an AI provider to generate your analysis, or storing a practice recording so you can review it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you.
You must only submit content you have the right to submit:
- Photos you upload of yourself must be of you. Photos or screenshots involving others (e.g. a chat screenshot) must not violate anyone else's rights or reasonable expectation of privacy.
- No unlawful, harassing, or abusive content.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, deceive, or harm others;
- Attempt to probe, breach, or circumvent security or rate limits, or access other users' data;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-extract the Service or its AI outputs to build a competing product;
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
- Aura Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly, as shown on the paywall). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your device's App Store subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Free trials, when offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Unused trial time is forfeited on purchase.
- Practice-session credits: subscriptions include a weekly allowance of voice practice sessions; additional credit packs may be purchased as consumable in-app purchases. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and unused allowance does not roll over.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly; you can request one from Apple at support.apple.com.
- Price changes: if prices change, existing subscribers will be notified per App Store rules and can cancel before the change applies.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, branding, lesson content, and AI persona content — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. AI-generated feedback delivered to you may be used for your personal purposes.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, including submitting content you did not have the right to submit.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your place of residence.
